67 in Vegas Sun Mar 23, 2003 8:51 am

I plan to change the main wiring harness in my 67 sedan. I was wondering if there was a website or if any one had any tips to make this job go alittle easier.Thx

I had recently asked about replacing the harness on my 61.

I'm not sure of any tips other than tying the new harness to the old harness and using the old one to pull the new harness through the body.

Not sure how easy it will be pulling the harness through yet. I'm still waiting on my harness to arrive. Then again mine runs through the roof channel and a 67 runs through a floor channel.

Yep, wire it up on the old one to pull it through ! DO NOT REMOVE YOUR OLD WIRING before that ! It will be a pain in the @ss to get the harness through otherwise ! When you have the new one attached to the old one use a lubricant to make things easy, there are special lubricant for this, as you don't want any water in there with your new wires. Also make notes about the old wiring, how and where they did attach.
Good luck !

It's not really a huge pain in the ass if you pull your wiring through, but it does make it a bit frustrating. I just ran a piece of bailing wire through my car and pulled the wiring that way, it worked fine.

oh, i am not trying to be funny. When I bought my bug, the guy had run the wires along the ground, by the door, along the carpet. Can anyone tell me where the wires should be run through?
