Hello all,
I am looking for a supplier for replacement steel retention strip sections for my front trunklid and rear decklid. This is the "U" shaped steel strip which is welded along the rim of the decklid and trunklid to retain the rubber seals.
I know I saw them in a catalog somewhere, and now that I need them, can't find them, of course.
If you have purchased these, please let me know the supplier you used, and how well they worked.

Thanks,
John

I need to add, the strips I need are for a '69 beetle, and they weld to the body to hold the seals, not the lids themselves.

The thing you are talking about goes on the car not the lids. Wolfsburg West sells it.

Yeah, I mentioned this on my second post.
I went on the WW website, and couldn't find the strips.

Thanks MW, that's them.
I don't know why the search function on the WW site didn't locate them.

Hey man no sweat. Those suckas rust quick. Be sure to coat them with metal prep as soon as they arrive!
