I am doing a pan up resto on my 63 bug. I just replaced all of the metal lines, and I am thinking of converting to the safer dual master cyl. Dose anyone know the parts needed and how to do this?? I am wondering about the master bolts and the reservoir set up.

I have only done it in a 65 T3, but I am 99% positive it's the same.

the M/C is longer than stock but should still bolt up and fit fine. You will need to block off the extra passeges, My local shop had some brass bolts that were perfect. I added that white teflon tape to make sure they diddnt leak.

to do it right, you need to add the later style dual reservoir, It usually mounts on a tab on the driver side front quater panel. check out a late bug to see how it looks factory. I diddn't want it to look non factory, so I just used a "t" on my stock line coming from the stock reservoir to go to both inlets on the M/C. I had no problems with that setup.
