Can someone give me scoop on what is correct for a '62? I've seen single post, dual post, left side, right side, vertical, and angled back... What's the deal? Did antennas get added on by dealers as options with radios? Is that why you don't see much consistency?

Dealer installed. Subject to stock on hand . You hit it right on the head. They may have differred from regional areas because of what the warehouses ordered . Radios were all dealer installed.

What if I have the stock antenna hole filled? Are there any hidden antenna options?

Unless it was welded shut, carefully ground down, and painted on the inside, it should be possible to see where the old hole was. Just find it and open it up. If no hole is found, just take some measurements off similar year cars and cut in a new one.
