Can anybody help with this...On my '69 beetle, I have a master cylinder with two switches that have 3 prongs each. The Bentley talks about 3 two prong switches but it doesn't show a 3 switch set up. Apparently the third switch is for the warning light. I would like to have this function operational. Is that what one of the prongs is for on the 3 prong switch? Does anyone know about this??
Thanks, Big Al

| My 79 super also has two 3-prong switches. I think one prong is for the brake light, one is for the warning light, and one is for the power. On mine the wires from the two switches go up through a hole in the trunk floor to a connector near the brake fluid reservoir. I found that if the wires are inadvertently switched your brake lights come on all the time and the warning light doesn't work right. You could try switching the wires in the connector one at a time until everything works right. |
