| Hi, this is a case from a 644 trans, yours is a 716. I believe that all of the single piece cases 644/716/741 are the same with the exception of the bottom where the 741 has a small pocket built in for the optional rear bar that limits movement of the axle tubes,and the rear face where some have the 3 bolts around the output shaft to mount the sleeve for the throw out bearing. Mine does not have the pocket or the 3 studs, if yours does not have these either then I believe the housings are interchangable. |

this is a cut n paste from an email about a transmission case i was looking to buy. I have a cracked 716 trans that i was going to gut and buy a shell to transfer everything to. I asked the seller of a different trans # case if everything will transfer over. this is the response i got. I am just tring to see if this info is correct and that i wont have any problems with the switching of inner parts.
