No not a stupid question it's just you don't say what comparisons you want made. Power output...availability...cost...value for money etc.

Unless someone has owned and run both it's a matter of reading reviews if you can find them and drawing conclusions.

The pair of manifolds I have are assumed for 1300-1600 motors, since they will not fit on our 36hp stock heads. (Manifold flange is larger)

(We have a pair of 34 PCIs and the full linkage too, with center pull section)

Question: Can the manifolds be modified to fit stock 36hp heads?

OvalDude
If the manifolds you have mount flat on the head and there bigger then a 36hp flange they are for a 40 horse motor, If they mount at a angle they are for a 1300-1600 head. 1300-1600 heads have about a 20° flange.

Thanks ' earthquake '. The Riechert manifolds do fit on an 20 degree angle, so they must be for 1300-1600cc

I'll clean 'em up this month, and advertise them for sale.
