Hey hey I am new on here and new to the vw world. we just got a 1973 VW bus /w no motor. we found a motor picked it up and dont now anything about it. It had a few nubers here and there on it

can someone help us out. Were the engine codes were spose to be are not there just what numbers I put one this forum.Is there a hidden spot I need to look at or....... |

where are you getting these numbers?
i think your missing one on the CB#
CB on the engine code denotes 1700 T4 71-73 Bus engine
Undertand the T4 engine was made for the 68 411 and THEN it was used in busses
