I have a '71 bus, and I am helping a friend with his 914. I want to replace the fuel lines, should I used braided german? Or just FI rated hose?
In my bus I have FI rated hose, and haven't had any problems.
The 914 has a type IV engine, am I correct? |

Use newer fuel hose that is rated for ethanol. Older rubber hoses will rot away and cause FI damage at the least, a fire at the worst!!!
Yes, the 914 uses a type IV engine. Check Tuna's website for info on the different type IV engines........
