| the clutch tube on my 63 rat broke away from the factory weld right where the clutch pedal assy goes into the tunnel. I welded it back in place, but I think it may have broken it's weld at another spot in the tunnel. My question is, where do the tubes welds predominately break at? I would prefer to cut as little of the tunnel looking for the factory spot welds as possible? |

| The tube is attatched in three spots. The front one is on opposite side of the tunnel from the pedal assembly and about 1 1/2" back, the middle one is about 3 inches behind the e-brake handle opening, and the rear is on the top of the tunnel by the rear shift coupler.. |

I think the front weld is on the left side of the tunnel, same as the other two welds.
Assuming you are in the USA, your statement makes it on the right side of the tunnel.
On both LHD and RHD models the clutch tube is on the left side of the tunnel.
VWARBROUGH,
Have a look at this site for a peek INSIDE the tunnel and the location of the welds.
As Timgud said, there are three.
