The Phil-
I went to check up on it yesterday, he had the motor sitting on the table with the exhaust installed. He started the engine up, and it sounded amazing. It wasn't too loud either. I don't think I'm going to run a baffle. But I might rig something up to quite it down just to be considerate to the neighbors late at night.
If I were you I would go ahead and buy the stinger. If you don't like the sound of it, just resale it as slightly used on ebay. You can get most of your money back.
Have you considered putting a butterfly valve in it? i think that would be cool and the cheapest to do. most current cars have active exhausts which open up the exhaust after a certain rpm.
I also just might go ahead and buy that stinger. thanks for that that. |

That's a good Idea about the butterfly valve. I never thought of that. Might do that.

I went to the shop today to deliver some parts(cables, battery wires, fuel lines). To my surprise the engine was already installed.
Its still not completely hooked up yet. But its getting there. It should be done on Monday. |

are you planning on going with a bigger rear end? it looks to me, personally, kinda narrow for the wider body. i suppose i just like it when its wide. :)
Its looking pretty awesome- love that red burnt orange color you got. |

Thanks Dixon cass and the phil
The Phil when you say bigger rear end do you mean Wheels? If so yea. I have some wide 15x10 wheels, and I'm going to run 31x15 inch wheels in the rear. The tires should stick out alot further than the tree bars when mounted. |

| wow, those are wide. i meant axle though. are you going to do anything that? like 2x3s or just leave the axle and those monster wheels? |

i see, i see. its hard to tell, but it looks like your running a stock irs right now?

Yeah Im running stock IRS.
And yeah, that's the whole reason for the 4 seater. My last buggy was so small you couldn't shift gears without touching the passengers leg. So you can bet that can get a little awkward. |

Haha, i can see that. that happens in my baja. i know my friends well enough that as a joke, ill slowly shift my hand from the shifter to their knee.
once again, thats just a JOKE! but yeah, it does get a bit weird when you brush up against them every time and they dont move. |

The phil, thats funny
Well ive made some progress, im nearly done now
I mounted the rear seat by an angle iron frame together, and bolted the seat up to it.
My center console came in, I need to drill out guage holes
Finally got front and rear wheels on. I'm running 31x10.50 in the rear. Price drove my away from the 15" wide tires. Up front i'm running 24x7.
The buggy drives and runs great! Ill try to get a walk around/drive video up soon.

those mirrors are so small in the pictures that i can barely see them. they are slim and sleek. they actually look more invisible.
sweet rail though. i want a 4 seater like yours. just one that sits higher. like a sand toy, but built for desert running.
great work. |
