Anyone ever put American Racing Torq Thrust wheels on a bug? If so what size? I'm running original porsche 2.0 wheels now. I would change the drums and rotors obviously.

The 2.0 wheels are 5.5 with 4" back space (if actual porsche wheels are same as aftermarket, didn't measure mine yet)

But assuming that is correct info...

The closest size AR wheel is 15x6 with 3.3 backspace. Would they fit under rear fenders?

How bout the front? The offer a 15x4 with 1.5" backspace. Think they would fit with a stock beam?

I've seen 17's done before but those aren't as simple as bolting them on. 15x4's and 15x6's should be easier though. You also didn't say what the wheels will be going on...

Sorry... Guess I shouda mentioned that. 1963 Bug.

Your pictures below... I've seen that red car in person, problem with that is, i believe that chassis/rear axles and front beam have both been narrowed. I think the rear is basically tubbed.

I would like them to fit under stock fenders with stock suspension.

Here is my car...

Here is 15x6 and 15x4 on a 2 inch beam with discs and dropped spindles. Rear is 195/65/15 and front is 145r15. With the discs and spindles it's basically back out to stock. It is now 6 inch narrowed with Airkewld discs so it tucks nice and low if I want it. Fronts are now 145/65/15.

Until now, I never liked non-VW wheels on any Volksie. But, those AR's look amazing! Great, now I have to set my sights on another set of wheels!

Sorry I haven't taken any recent pics other than what's in my gallery. The difference from the gallery ones is that it now has como green running boards, correct turqoise fender beading, swan neck mirrors, and the paint now all matches(decklid and taillight housing). It looks so much cleaner now. It is waiting for the engine to be put in so it's sitting pretty high in the back.

No wheel adapters. I have Airkewld BAD discs on the front in 5x4.75 and drums on the back. I just ordered the BAD discs for the rear yesterday.

Thanks.

That red car was in HVW. The front end is tubbed, rear is tubbed, front AND rear are both narrowed. Lots of work...
