Hi Everyone, I bought the 412 in OC California that was listed here. I have a lot of questions! I need a headlight switch right off the bat. Will one from a 411 fit? I will post pictures when I figure it out, JBW

Hi Johnny
I have a 412ls
Not sure about the 411 switch but check the classifieds on here for a replacement switch.

Welcome! You better buy a couple used manuals from www.books4cars.com They have 500+ VW Manuals listed by Year.

I only have 412's, so I'm not sure on the headlight switch. Most of those other parts you are looking for you shouldn't have a problem finding and I think most of them are actually in the classifieds right now. Maybe except for the front turn signals in good condition- they're so vulnerable to various types of damage I think all the NOS ones got used up. I think you can use the mirrors off of other VW cars of the era, but I don't believe they have the correct "short" arms.

Thanks Everyone, I need a manual first.

As a guess I would say the head light switches are the same.

Before you buy a switch, check the relays. They tend to get wet and rust since they sit upside down under the fuse box.
