That person most likely found the Jersey Meadowlands closed and decided to cross the river.
Wasn't this guy from Florida?
And he drove a VW.
Yep, and we caught him. And they wouldn't let us throw him in a sinkhole. We've got some really deep ones.
Bundy was from Seattle and his final of a number of apprehensions happened to be in Florida. But Ted did have a thing for VW's. If he were alive today, he might have been a member here. I wonder what his Samba name would be? |

This thread is long highjacked, so here goes:
If Ted were a member here, there would be an NOS passenger side Beetle seat for sale in the samba classified ads. |

I think there was at least one car they never found - and I'm sure various other items. This was in 1981, so the car was probably better off down there, considering the vintage.
Too bad it didn't happen right over my old high school during some weekend. Wouldn't it be a more likely scenario to have it open under the school? |

That Winter Park monster ate some Porsches, but they
did manage to save some of them.
I had just moved to FL about 2 years prior and remember thinking WTF?
The Orlando newspaper reported that 2 are still at the bottom
of what is now called Lake Rose. :) |

Another good bumper sticker around here from about the same time (re: mandatory seat belt use and Bundy's interminable trial)
"I'll buckle up when Bundy does!" |

| I had a delivery job in Florida when Bundy was executed. I was actually in Starke the very day that Bundy was executed. Weird. |
