Pics from 2001 when it was in the N. Phoenix (New River) desert:

He told me it was a '68 too but it has a '69 VIN #.

At the time I remember it being the latest VIN # known in the registry?
I'm not sure if that is still true.

Close -- there are a few newer but it's definitely close to the end of the run in 1969.

I for got to say that I did get it running it fired right up after I adjusted the valves, rebuilt the carbs, and added fresh gas. I even did a compression check and its got 125 all the way around now I need to learn about automatics....

stop pedal/ go pedal!!!! off you go.

Look like it only needs a long weekend to be on the road.

I would change out the trans fluid. and all hoses.

Congratulations on getting this late-1969 back on the road! Well-done!
In my database it's the 5th youngest in the world. Production date would be in mid-June 1969.

Im gonna change all the fluids, have the gas tank cleaned out and put all new fuel line in it. I would like to pull the motor and tranny out and do a complete clean to get all the old dirt and grese off but i really just want to drive it.

Well it has not seen the road yet except unloading off the trailer but soon it will move under its own power again. Im confused is it the 5th oldest automatic in the world? Maybe it my lack of sleep

Lee Hedges Fri Sep 02, 2011 7:09 am

Sorry, 5th youngest (not oldest) T34 in the database. It's the youngest Automatic in the database.

Auto trans are easy! rock auto sells the gasket and filters. go get a haynes or bently i believe its dex ron 3 you need for fluid. i have owned 8 full autos, nice for cruisin shitting on performance. I put a T4 auto in mine different gear ratio a lil more pep in the step now.
