My car is almost done the bodywork stage, but I left a few 'boo boos'
There's still broken off fender bolts. How do I get them out? Do I drill and tap and die, or is there a better/easier way? (I heard welding a head onto them and screwing them out??) |

| Usually heat is your buddy on this. Use with extreme caution as not to warp the panel. Also spray them with a generous dose of graphite impregnated spray lube( found at GM dealers under heat valve penetrant) |

I soaked mine with Kroil for three weeks, drilled them for Easy-Outs, heated them to break the rust bond, easy-outted them and then chased the threads. On a few, the weldnut spun and I had to weld a new one in.
Good farkin luck. How are your running board mounting nuts? Every one of mine was broken off flush. |
