| You're thinking of Averre's in Longview. They have hundreds of old buses and beetles there. Not so many rare parts, but if you're looking for things like doors, steering wheels, mechanical parts, they're pretty good. If you're looking for a cheap splitty middle seat, grab bars, kick panels or other hard to find parts, then you'd have to get there the day a donor bus came in and they know what the parts are worth. I was in there last week and they did have a nice middle which they wanted to sell with a rear seat for $500; not a bad buy, but not a steal. |

Last time I was there my buddy picked up a three in one guage with all the stuff for $100.00.
This was right there in a dash of a scrapped ghia.
I remember seeing some Binz doublecan sidegates there...few deluxe roof clips, etc, etc.
This was about four years ago.
I'm sure they still have some stuff. |

| I live in Longview, and as for finding any Binz parts forget it. Those gates are actually off of a Mercedes truck and are the wrong length. I have been there a million times , and yes, have found some pieces, but far and few between. Dont hope to find any early shit because it is either rotted ot been cut to shit by the meatheads out back. Definately, never walked out thinking I got a deal. |
