i plan to try to make mirror arms, similar to DB, what diameter steel do i need, can someone measure one for me

I was hoping someone would respond with the diameter of an original but since that has not occurred yet, here is the diameter of my reproduction one:
10mm.
It's a Mark Lapriore reproduction and I feel confident it matches an original. |

| i just measured an original and Mark L's and give or take paint thicknesses, i came up with roughly 10.05/10.08 .i would say they are the same and basically a 10mm rod. |
