Hello

I`m Marcin (Maxim) from Poland. Bus was my dream car for about 7 years, and finally I bought it yesterday! I don`t remember when I was happy as yesterday :) It was hard to take cause the owner didn`t want to sell it for years, and Bus was standing outside.

Here is short video form yesterday action.

Have you ever driven a bus before? First drive should be a video too.

Maxim Sat Jul 02, 2011 1:13 am

congradulations and thanks for sharing.

Can't see your video but I bet your happy. Swing wide on your first practice turns and scare your passenger by stopping close to a wall.

Congratulations. That Bus looks pretty clean. Keep us updated on your progress with it.

What's the story on your avatar?

BusterBrown Sat Jul 02, 2011 5:00 pm

Have you sat in it and ate your lunch yet? It doesn't need to run to enjoy it! Congratulations! :D

That is so funny. I did that after I put safaris in my old DC. My wife walked in and almost hurt herself laughing.

I also can't wait to see more. Gotta love guys who love these old things so much that they will attempt to "fix 'em up" somewhere that has very little support for their addiction. Thank God for the interweb and FedEx!

Thanks for comments guys ;)

The avatar is just one of the photos i found over the internet, and cut it a little bit ;) I think it`s from some kind of book or something.

I didn`t eat lounch in the bus yet  There is a big mess there, I need to clean up. I celaned in the back yesterday. Here are some photos I`ve maded:

Now I need to open the doors, cause the lock stuck really hard. I think I will need to buy new front doors lock mechanism. It`s part number 211-837-016F and looks like this :

If anyone got it, please PM me ;)

Please subscribe my Youtube channel also, there will be more cool videos with the bus.

Thank You
Marcin (Maxim)

Find any cool stuff in there? If it's still too dirty to have lunch in it, at least you could sit and have a beer!

No I didn`t found anything interesting yet, but I haven`t finished cleaning too  I was laying at the back yesterday after I`ve cleaned the mess. Beer could be nice ;) I`m going to work on my bus now 8)

I`ve added one more photo on Picasa:

Hi Marcin. :D good luck and see you on the route

Maxim Sun Jul 03, 2011 9:15 pm

Hi Rogacek, yes we will meet for sure ;)

I unlocked doors finally. They wasn`t opened for few years. It took me three hours to open the passenger doors but we did it! I will try to fire up the engine next weekend and if it will work I`ll post first drive video ;)

Thanks for comments for all ;)
