I'm doing a body-off restoration on my '72 SB convertible. I removed the rusted out wheel well this weekend and found that the left front quarter panel needed replacing - too rusted for repair. My question is, since there are no new replacement parts for the quarter panel, what other years will have the same quarter panel? Once I know that, I will hunt the salvage yards. Remember, it is a convertible, if that makes a difference.

I could get by with just the metal from the shock tower forward, I think.

I have a 69 convertible that I just tore apart. Rot on heater channels. Check out my ads. The 69 front quarter should line up with your 72. But I am not 100% certain. Once you find out for certain, let me know and I will plasma cut this quarter to exactly what you need.

as far as what years will fit. the 71 and 72 are the only years you are able to use 73 to 79 are different. hope that helps
