for my senior year of highschool i will being doing a project along the whole semester.
im going to try and build a 40hp with dual 28pcis, bigbore kit, and any other sugestions for my product?
once i start the build which will be with in a few months ill start updating with pictures.
i would like to keep the 40hp heads
any suggestions would be great.

if i use a 69mm crank from a 1300-1600 should that work?

Try and find a 65 case its the only 40 hp that had cam bearings, Go with square boss heads too.
You see the video of mine running? Check the thread in this forum and the one in readers rides. Sorry couldn't make it to Bugout! Valve spring broke and then the valve went through the piston (locked up the motor) It's all back together now though! |

ok thanks. i dont have a whole bunch of time. so it will probably be the first good case i find.

gonna try and use this peice to
anyone ever notice how the base looks like a rocker arm? must have used part of the same mold |

| You could use ratio rockers to take advantage of the extra carburetion and displacement. When I was in high school I used dual 28 pci's on a 1600 DP that I had in my 59 bug. I made my own custom manifolds and linkage. It worked great. Don't forget to put a balance tube in your manifolds. |

yea i have kinda made up some intakes. and thats the plan dual 28 pcis
ive thought about upgrading the rockers also |

test fitted on a intake
going to have to redo the intake to turn the carb so i can use the linkage i have. |

got a motor over the weekend. already had a bigbore kit on it. so im gonna re use the pistons and cylinders. the heads are not square boss type should i be ok?
anyone know what type of muffler that is? |

I've always liked that style of muffler. I'd probably paint it up and use it with 2 chrome tips. |
