| I am shipping my 76 Westy to Europe for camping. What is the best way to deal with the electricity at campsites? A step-down transformer makes sense but it have to sit outside and I haven't found an outdoor transformer. Or, would you change the plug on the WEsty? If so, would the 12 gauge Romex inside the Westy be compatible with EU power? |

i'd think you could install your 220/110 volt transformer under the bus?
where are you going to be camping, all over europe? are you aware of what they charge for electricity on campsites these days? |

I had the reverse problem,
A french van in the US for ten weeks.
As I had a big deep discharge battery, I managed without electricity.
As you ship your van, you will stay a while (drop by home)
A step down transformer is a disposabe solution, no use afterwaed.
What about a clever 110/240V battery charger? You can use it later.
What about solar panels?
It's an investment, but at 3€ a day for a 6 amp plug .......
Another issue was butane????? |
