Here is a Barndoor back seat thread for use in the Barndoor FAQ.
Original back seat back rest from 1954 Kombi
Mounting tabs, each one is approx. 265mm (10 3/8") from the side of the frame
Scan of tracing, you should be able to print this out and create one, if needed:
Thickness looks to be approx. 4mm.

Do you put the top in first and then the bottom? If this is the correct way getting over the heater tube is not easy.
Or
Put the bottom in first and then the top? If this is the correct way it is hard to put the wing nuts in. |
