I'm going to replace my wiper pivots that are rusted. What is the proper way to disassemble? What holds the arm from the motor onto the pivot ball?
Thanks,

First, you will want to take off the map tray. This should give plenty of space to work in. The pivots are held on "C" clips that are very small. Once the clips are off, you can separate it from the main arm of the motor. Then the shaft section should come right out the body. Installation is the opposite.
You may need to play with the location of the wiper arms to allow for maximum space to pull the shafts in and out of the body. |

truckersmike,
Thanks. Should I white lithium grease all the connections and clean the motor while I'm there?

It's not going to hurt to do that.
Do you have the motor out then? If so, then clean and lubricate all that you can. |

I've taken the nuts off the pivot shafts (on the outside of the bus) and am now trying to figure out how to get the rest of the mechanism out. Not sure of the right order. I am also replacing the armature in the wiper motor and want to lube up everything before putting in back. If I unscrew the two screws holding the wiper motor bracket in place, how do I unhook the arms to get them out?
Thanks,

| I don't like lithium it get hard after a while and if you live in a cold climate it can actually freeze, I use kendall blue greese or something like that. |
