View original topic: Classifieds thumbnails are now larger

I upgraded the classifieds this am so that the thumbnails in the category listings are larger.

Example, the new ads page:
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/newads.php?type=new

One thing is that on some of the individual category listings, the Featured Ad bar at the top may be large if there are a lot of Featured Ads in that section.
Example, in early VW Buses for sale, the header is now about 1.5-2 times as tall so people with smaller screens, like laptops, may have to scroll a little to get to the actual ad listings:

Any feedback welcome.

this is very nice!

Thank you hazetguy.

Note that the smaller thumbnails still appear in other areas to conserve space - In the detail of each ad and the classifieds home page listing of Featured Ads

Are there any plans to make the thumbnails for the Owner's Manuals any larger? I think a lot of people get frustrated by the small image size and tire of clicking on pages until they get what they're looking for. I can't squint hard enough to save my life when trying to select what I think is the image I want to enlarge.

There was no plan for that as it would be hard to go through and do them all.

Does using the PDFs instead work better?

I might if the PDF name is a descriptive index. For example, trying to find an image of the dashboard versus the engine is very difficult.

Nice upgrade to classified ad photos. You were right in that the featured ads at top of individual classifieds are huge and stacked on a laptop but well worth the extra scrolling. Thanks!
