| Although not a quantitative answer, hardly any. Everything I see says, "eliminate axial play". |

| How about not so tight that it binds the shaft or advance plate. The mechanical weights are independent of the shaft and shims. |

thanks glenn, that explains how a guy over here used to modify VJU4 BR8's for mechanical advance only on performance engines back in the early-mid 60's.
are the springs the same between BR8's and BR25's? i know the weights are different. |
