I need a stainless steel antenna for my bus so that I can bend it for my safari windows. Does anyone know of a source?
Thanks,
Scott |

| i can make you a proper antenna. you can't bend the antenna itlself, they are hollow and they kink. type in antenna in search on the samba and see my creation. it works, all stainless. |

I decided to make my own antenna after looking at all the options. I've tried to write this response in HTML to include some photos. If they don't appear, just use the link: http://www.scottmooreart.com/gallery/antenna.htm
Here are a couple of photos of the finished antenna installed. Safaris are almost ready to go in. I used a new antenna, took it apart (with heat), bent a 1/4" aluminum rod to angle around the window, drilled it for the cable connection, cut it so it would clear my garage door, epoxyed it into the mount and reinstalled in the original holes. Looks clean and the reception is awesome!<p>

Scott,
Saw your antenna on the web page. It is awesome! Could you email me a more detailed description of the disassembly of the stock antenna and the installation of the 1/4" aluminum rod? I want to get rid of my ugly looking collapsed (flattened) bent antenna mast -- this is really a cool looking answer to some really funky bent bus antennas.
Thanks,

Doug,
I am putting together some photos that show the complete tear down of the stock antenna and the making of the new one. I will also put a detailed description of everything you are looking at in the photos.
Will send right off to you..

Scott,
Saw your antenna in person yesterday while taking my family around Laguna Beach. It really is an excellent solution to the bent safari antenna. You should sell them...
