I currently have a 67 bus with a type 3 conversion to lower it in the rear and drop spindles in the front. It's a 63 front beam and it rides o.k. but with michigan roads being the way they are I bottom out a lot so I want to put it back to stock. I'm thinking about putting a freeway flyer in it to get a little better top end on it. Has anyone installed one in a stock suspension and have been happy with the out come?

I'm riding on a stock suspension...and i love it...It's all in the shocks though...Go with good Gas-a-just....It's a little more $$ but they are worth it! It shouldn't be too hard to find someone who would swap your front spindles with theirs and a little extra money...and the tranny won't be hard to get rid of... the Freeway flyer is really good...I live in Indiana, I've no problem with bottoming out. I did just install a freeway flyer, for my '67. I even took pictures of the whole procedure, feel free to check it out. It's an amature job...being 19 and all...but not to hard.

James,

You say to go with Gas-A-Just shocks (KYB'S?). Check out what Everett says about them in the thread "Which KYB's are softer". I'm looking for new shocks and have the white KYB's and want a softer ride. What is your experience?

Thanks,

I currently have kby's on it. Tires also make a difference in the ride too.

I have a 63 that I want dropped spindles for, you interested in trading your dropped spindles for my stock ones?

If so e-mail me.
