| Anyone had the joy of testing out one of these pulley's? They are the oversized ones from bugzone, they were advertized in the August 2002, VW trends Mag. I'd love to hear what people have to say about them...are they worth it for a bus? Or no? Just curious if they are good or not. |

I've got one but not from Bugzone. I bought mine locally from a shop for $30. I've got a page covering the install on my tech site.
For me, the jury is still out as for the usefullness of the pulley. I live in CA'c central valley where the temps hover between 95F-105F+ for 3-4 months a year. The weather has cooled in the past few days so I couldn't give it the torture test I've wanted to yet. One thing I CAN tell you though is that the fan is noticably louder and it takes a little more HP to turn it.

Hey Man Excellent Site! I really enjoyed looking at those tech's, nice pics too. I'd like to see what other people have to say about them to, get some opinions, I mean, i guess If I can keepy my bus cooler on the highway in the summer, I could sacrifice for some noise..we'll see.
Let me know what you find out after you torture it for a while...

Tell me if i am wrong, but i thought a bigger pulley would make the fan turn slower?
reducing the cooling. thus a smaller pulley would be better for a hotter enviroment? |
