Bus on road next spring. Fancy white wall as exihibit at shows first year. Any experience of them out there. Lousy driving or wear? want the bus to look good, but safer drive is priority.

I Have always run whites, they will last twice as long if not longer than radials. but a little more (wobbly) you'll feel the bus move more.and they dont look corny like radials, on a stock bus that is. the wide 70's set-up sucks. good luck post some pic's

Why would you go to all that trouble to make a 19 window bus? It looks great, it really does, but why?

Check out my shots at vintage bus and comments. for details, but basically my roof was 100% shot. While searching chance of Samba roof in Sweden came up (been lying around for some years, (whos gonna refuse that???) and it suited my UK 11 window Devon conversion perfectly. Why? well best reason is saved another split from the scrap heap.

Your Bus feels "wobbly" because you are probably running unsafe car tires on a commercial vehcile. The proper LT (light truck) tires have sidewalls that are 2-3 times stronger and safer, if less attractive.
