I have to remove the rear bumper to replace the blade. Since I am doing this by myself, is it better to unbolt the bumper from the brackets or unbolt the brackets (with the bumper attached) from the frame? The wife might help, but I usually get into trouble when she does...

| Remove the bumper complete with brackets normally cos the bolts should be painted over nice. Cannot see it will make much difference to you if replacing. tip though. wire brush & soak all the fastenings in WD40 Day before. then you can prob manage on your own and save a few knuckles!!! |

It's tough to get at the bolts on the back of the bumper. Just undo the four bolts holding the brackets onto the frame. A little clumsy without a second pair of hands. Make sure you have a comfortable chair for your wife when she is supporting the bumper and take the little lady to dinner that evening. Flowers helps too.

Bumper is a pain by yourself. You'll scratch it up bigtime if you try to hold it in place while bolting, especially if you have a header system. Tell the little lady she is saving you heaps from going to the body shop...

| You might try using the floor jack in the center of the bumper, while asking your wife to steady it, while you take out the bolts, and lower the jack. Its easier on both backs, and nerves! Then again if its that bad you could always pay one of the neighborhood kids to help you. (Cheaper than repainting). Good luck |
