I have a Zenith 32dnix I want to install on my 1776cc. I was wondering, Most carbs I have seen have a flat plate where I have some type of pump mechanism. Can someone help ID what this is and if I even need it.
I was going to add a pic but I can't get it to upload. |

| no you do not need,that is where a choke would go on perhaps an opel.accel pump should be enough,maybe a little cold natured! |

If you are using these carbs on a 356 motor (2 carbs) check to make sure you dont have a balance port machined in the base of the carb. These don't work very well on an engine where each throat feeds one cylinder. If you are using just a single carb in a VW type setup it would be fine.
