I stumbled across this beauty on thesamba classifieds. Funny how ya find stuff like this when you not even looking. I bought it off of a guy who had moved to my area from Southern California within the last year. The car spent the majority of its life there, and it certainly looks like it underneath :D Anyway here are some pics....
An OG pan this clean is a rare site around MySpace way
Fuel injection still in tact.
It does not run but the is not seized.
So far me & my group of friends have replaced all the fuel lines from the tank to the engine, swapped out the kaput fuel pump, filter, and poured a few gallons of gas in the gas tank. We've been able to get it to fire by spraying starting fluid into the throttle body while cranking it. One of the fuel injectors has a corroded terminal so that is next on the list to replace. Once we get 4 good injectors on it'll be time to jump the next hurdle [/b] |

Buy a cheap water pressure gauge at Home Depot and hook it up temporarily to the Test Port between one of your pairs of injectors. You should have about 30 lbs fuel pressure there for it to run.
Unbolt your pairs of injectors to watch how/if they spray when you turn it over. |

Waiting on injectors to show up at my door. I had some time to tinker so me & a few pals gave it a little altitude adjustment. 2 outer notches in the rear & 3 or 4 notches in the front. We hammered the front pretty good since its essentially just shop art for the moment. It has several worn out front suspension components so I'm leaning towards a T1 swap.

Been playing with some wheel ideas for it....
Randars & Escras
Wide 5 steelies
Repop Rivieras
I wanted to be a 4 Lug Thug but the wheels that i want, CWI Smoothies, only come in chrome & by the time i pay to have them stripped & painted i could just as well do a wide 5 swap & run VW steelies.
Thoughts? Suggestions?
I guess i should also mention that a Link Pin swap is in the plans |

Yea, so there's that. Making a Type 1 conversion beam from scratch. Waiting till I have new body mount bushings before welding the mounts onto the beam |
