I can't tell you much about the carbs but I do know that the freeway flyer gear is ONLY designed for trannys that still have their reduction boxes. If you went to a straight axle, there would be no need for a FF.

Here's my .02,. . .

If you've got the $$$, I would go for a set of 40 IDFs. These will be the most efficient and tunable and really don't require any upgrades to work well.

Kadrons are a pretty good carb for the $$$, but the linkage sucks. Get better linkage for these and they are hard to beat.

ICTs IMHO, are the same caliber of carb as Kadrons only smaller. The stock ICT linkage ain't that great either but a little better than Kadron linkage. You do have the option of aftermarket X-bar linkage with these. The tiny pod filters that come with these are a joke since they get dirty so fast. . . These need a more meaningful filter.

Good luck!!

I would advise going bigger than 34's for the carbs. I've heard 40's do pretty well, or even 45's in some higher performance applications. If it were me, I'd probably go with a pair of dual 40's(your choice on brand). Good luck with the engine and bus.

i had a 1776 with a set of 40 webers and it worked very well. kadrons are good but you will get move performance out of webers. kadrons are maintenance free but i would go with a set of 40 webers. thats just me though.

I've had both on my 1776 and the performance difference going from Kadron 34's to Webber 40's was night and day... Tuning became a project with the Webbers.

I was agitating toward the same set up for my SC and my mechanic said to go back to my old set with the Kadrons for reliable power as the extra juice is wasted in the bus.

I have hade both Kadrons and 40 idf webers and I agree kadrons are cool if you cant afford the webers but the linkage truly sucks so upgrade that but webers kick ass on a good 1776 hard to beat the performance.
