Pardon the spelling...anyone know of an easy way to replace the sending unit on a 65 split?

Unless you want to cut an access hole in the rear parcel shelf (YUCK!!), you need to pull the engine and tank out to do it. To do it right (pulling the engine etc.), you're only looking at a couple hours work. . . Don;t cut a hole. Leave that for the bay and Vanagon folks :-) Good luck!!

| Make sure your sender is bad before you do all that work, you can check it with a multi meter using resistance compare resistance levels when empty and full,If I remember correctally empty should read about 7 ohms, full should be about 0 or 1 ohm. |
