I am trying to get some speakers in my 65 21 window deluxe, but don't want to cut up the interior.

Where are good locations that you have (or have seen) for speakers in this car?

I wanted to put a subwoofer under the middle bench seat, and i don't want to put speakers under the rear bench because you won't be able to hear them. I'm assuming the side panels in the back are too thin for the depth of speakers.

Any help or recommendations would be great.

same year same model bus, non-walk thru. i have them loose behind the front seats and the divider wall. they are older model pioneer(?) and are in the factory made box. i guess you could make boxes and do the same? when mine was on the road i heard them ok. i don't have a subwoofer(yet) however.

also, i had them way in the back at first and i could not hear them.

I wanted to put a pair of 6.5in w/ tweeters in the front doors, 6.5 w/ tweeters on the back of the front bench seat (non walk thru as well, so they face the middle bench), and a pair of 6x9 along the rear sides next to the rear bench, with 2 10in subwoofers under the rear bench....but I would rather not cut anything if i can find better alternatives...

New to busses, etc. last one I had was late sixties, but just got an SC.

Why is it everyone is so concerned about 'cutting' on their cars?

If you fill up the hole with equipment that works, where's the harm?

I'm not being a smart ass, just curious as I undertake civilizing my SC.

Currently in my bus('67), I've got two 6.5" in the front door panels(PO cut the hole, not me), and two 6x9's in back(in speaker boxes) with a Pioneer head unit. I can hear it great all the time, but I plan on upgrading once I get some money.

yeah, i need to update my system. i have to get better speakers for when i hook up my 8 track player(previously drilled holes in package tray). anyone have any good jazz or reggae 8 tracks to add to my collection. I am serious.

Just bolt em on the outside of the roof. If you are listening to cool tunes, well then don't you think that everyone else would like to enjoy them too?

have you ever herd of no spare tire ? i put a 10 in a box be hind the seats . two 4 by 10 on parce tray i think they are or maby 3 by 6 and to 6s in the doors nice if your up front. i like it
