what an amazing time. just a note of thanks to the organizers and all who participated. a special note of thanks to dan, stig, mark, chris, steve, don, mike, marvin, ed and a.j., and everyone else, thanks for your help, you know who you are!!. and thanks everybody in the brigade for waiting for me to finish up on the brakes. the florida peeps REWEL!!

i saw the pics earlyman. Other than the few obstacles you had it looked like a great time. i am very jealous. Today i called the shop my bus is at and it is still a few weeks away. They said they are busy and i guess it is on the backburner.:(

I saw the pictures. I wish I had been able to go. It's been a while since I've heard of somebody getting bad gas. I've heard of people filling their bus up with diesel fuel though. I'm getting anxious to get my transmission back...

Did you get any help from the people off of type2.com (a.i.r.s.)? I was just wondering if it worked and the if the people on there really help out.

i called two numbers, one was changed, the other was voicemail. i didn't get a call back from the message.
heres how it worked out. i was on the phone with some peeps still in tampa. going thru possibilities. i got bitten by fireants all all over my ankles, got towed to one spot, slept in my bus. then as i'm drinking my coffee in the a.m. some guy pulls up, tells me he likes my bus and...etc and tells me that this guy right down the road races VWs. bingo!! among friends again. the guy then proceeded to tell me of the wreckage of his past, his drug use, getting shot in some gang violence and how HE found jesus and how good his life was. this was at 6:30am. i told him not to mention drugs in my presence. i thanked him for the VW info and said how glad i was he got it together thru the love of the lord, but my VWs are the source of my inspiration and happiness. weirdos! they always try to shove their crap on you somehow.

i've seen plenty of peeps driving buses that LOOKED like jesus, none in fact were. my bus does tend to hydroplane tho.......hmmmm
