| I have been looking for safari windows for my new acquisition (66 Standard). I found some chromed front safari's for around $580, is this too much? How about the rear? Is there such a beast? Does anyone have a supplier for safari windows that a regular working guy can afford? Are there such things as side window safari's? I'm a Bus neophyte but am anxious to learn.... |

I would go with creative engineering for new safaris. I think you could get them for about that much. ronnie at old volks has them here in the states now. www.type2parts.com
The CE safaris look stout, and aluminum never rusts. The side safaris are kinda weird for a passenger bus but they would be pretty cool for a camper, I wanted some when I still had the dormobile. much better looking than the trailer house windows that westies came with. |

I've got a rear safari window. It came from busboys.com
I can open it when the engine isn't running or when I have the front also open to blow air all the way through so that exhaust gas isn't coming in. |

| Rear Safari windows work great in Trucks, I have one in my 63 Single Cab, With the rear open and the front open just a little the air flows through awsome |
