how bout a link to the old ad? and before you flame this guys name discuss what you think are the lies? have you contacted the seller and discussed you concerns? i think i would go that route before you posted the guys name and ruined his rep. then go for the rep as a last resort.

Count to ten, first.
Then list the areas where you feel there was deception. Photograph the problem areas in such fashion that you can forward them to the seller.

On eBay they have a mediation service, but I think it's just another revenue avenue for eBay, but the idea is getting a neutral third party to review sales claims and actual product.

You may have some luck with the Better Business Bureau if the seller sells so many cars per year, or, failing that, it looks like litigation is your only out.

Long distance litigation favors the seller I'd bet, so I'd do my homework to make as strong a case as possible for your position.

I'd maybe veil a threat or two if there weren't any measurable offers of renumeration.

Oh yeah, you need to know what you want. Do you want all your money back, some of your money back? You really need to keep a dialogue going with the guy...and if he is just a dickhead, then you're obliged to warn as many people as you can I suppose.

Speaking from an internet auto purchase perspective of three out of four ain't bad,
