There is one EXACTLY like that driving around La Jolla............but it's a '55!!!
It has a Barndoor front bumper, 3 piece doglegs, early crows foot 15" wheels, MINT brakelight decklid, original reflectors, and a pair of early rear bumper brackets all still on it. Other than that, it's a blatant "ZERO". I've been trying to buy it for years so that it can get cut up and have a proper burial at the local recycling center but the owner is apparently LIVING in it so I guess I'll have to wait till he ODs and then it will be given away most likely. Of course, if the person who "inherits" it doesn't call me it will likely be seen at the Pick-Your-Part in Otay Mesa and then there will be the first treasure in their yard in the last several years. Funny how I've already contemplated this Bus's fate, isn't it?

You mentioned La Jolla, I'm in San Diego as well. I'm driving a 66 Kombi (original paint green). Just bought it last weekend in NorCal and drove it home. If you are in San Diego and see me on the streets, give me a honk! I need all the encouragement I can get. Someday my bus will be restored (my wife has given me a $2000 per year limit on spending....). Hope to see you around.

Hu Turbo_g- You will know you see me when you see me in my Black Oval Bug with Foxcraft skirts. I'm usually around the beach area, not much reason to go East of the 5 in my opinion...

huh- relevance to the type 2 motorhome?...sorry must have misunderstood the impact of the first post upon my senses which caused me to start my inane ramblings..again i apologize bucob- i didn't relize this was ur personal space.
