| I have a 64 single cab and am converting to 12 volts can i change to a 12 volt 2 speed wiper motor and what year motor and switch do i need so it looks orginal. |

| It's a totally different mounting on the 2 speed motor than what you have on your '64. Don't know the answer for 2 speeds, but either a voltage drop or 12 volt armature for the motor will work. |

Wolfsburg West might have some motors to convert your present 6v motor to a 12v. You would be using the same housing so it would look original.. Who sees the motor anyway?
I do not know if you can convert to a 2-speed
though. |

| In my 63 Single Cab I used a 12 volt 2 speed wiper motor from a Beetle I think it was a 68, connections to the pivot arms are different, all you have to do is unscrew the bottom plate and remove the plate and gear, than remove the plate and gear from your 6 volt wiper motor and bolt it on to the 12 motor than the connections are the same, you will also need a 2 speed switch from a 66 or 67 bus. however, I was not able to wire it so the auto park would work you just have to shut it off where you want the wipers to stop just like befor |
