I have a swivel base for my swivel option 61 panel. I do not understand how the seat attaches to the base, unless I do not have the complete base. There are no tracks on the base for the seat to slide onto.
Does anyone have any pictures or anything of their setup??
Thanks.

Rich,
there are two types of swivel seats for splittie buses. this is amusing because the otion was only available from 59-62ish. the early type of seat has a stationary backrest. the later type has a backrest that folds forward. both types use the same swivel mechanism. the swivel mechanism is part of the seat its self. parts of it do come apart, but to actually remove the seat part and have a fully functioning swivel, it would have to be cut. the swivel seat option for 75 and later bay window buses and vanagons have a fully seperate swivel plate the the seat slides onto, but the mechanism operates differently and it will not fit into a splittie. if you have only the swiveling mechanism and it is a splittie unit that fits into your bus, then the seat has been cut off. I have a couple splittie swivel seats that I can take pictures of sometime this weekend when I am out at my storage. |

Thanks for the reply. That now makes a lot of sense. I just have the swivel base portion... I would appreciate the pictures. Any chance of separating you from one of those split swivel seats?? That I would appreciate even more!
Thanks alot.
