Is someone making and/or selling Single cab hoops?

I thought those prices were for the complete setup?? There is also some good close up shots of the parts of the tops if that helps. Drogates.com under the Restoration section. Erik

I was emailed a link to a guy who has repoped the hoops in the past--he does a bunch of metal work, allegedly. I emailed him this morning and will post my findings here on thesamba.com and on dropgates.com website as soon as I verify that it is a good lead.
geodon, if you figure something out and are willing to make sets for others, email me and let me know what it is worth for you to do it--I am in to position to make a set for myself (no time and not enough know-how).

I'm in a similar position. The prob is the actual hoops. The rest can be made easily. I can't see how to bend u-section steel & still keep a radius profile on the (bottom) outside edge. However. I'm resigned to using 1.5 inch square section tube & getting it bent using an orig hoop as a template. When the canopy is on, you won't notice the non orig section of the hoops!

That last sentence should read, "I am in NO position to make a set for myself..."

From what I have heard Derek is making them again or did make some. He had 2 sets at the last Pomona. He gets 400 dollars a set. I have had a set of his repos and they were great. He stopped making them because people complained of the price, well if people complain again he won't make any more and you could buy a beat up set at a swap for 300 to 500

I am Looking for the specifications of the size that the hoops have to be to meet the product being sold as the canvas. I live in SC and can make them once I have the heights and the raduus.
