Seen these style of ads lately... they drive me crazy. Thats all :)

I think there is a thread in either the General Chat, or the Off Topic section covering this. The general thought was that the seller doesn't know what it's worth, so they're getting some feelers on what the item is worth (trying to get the most money for the part). |

When I look to buy a part I want to know the price, if it's "make offer" then you better believe it that I'm going to low ball you since I know you don't know what you got. |

Yes, this come up from time to time as a complaint, usually in one of the Whines threads on the site.
These people often get low ballers (very common) but they often get what I think are crazy offers (much less common).
There are those people that have idea what to ask so they do this but I think that about 1% of the time. The other 99% is people who want to play people off against each other or hope for some crazy high offer. Of course then they get pissed what they get what they think are low ball offers. :roll: |
