Try to say that fast... Is there a source for a shim that fits on the mirror hinge pin, making the pin oversized? I have seen some oversized hinge pins for bugs that you drill out your hinge to install, but not any shims... Do they exist or is this a custom machine shop thing...
Thanks,

You mean like a sleeve?
The pin is too tight of a fit for a sleeve, plus usually only the "door" part of the hinge wears out so you would have to drill out both halves to the larger diameter just to get the sleeve in.
That's why you drill out both halves and install an oversized pin. |

There are no oversized pins for elephant ear mirrors. That's why I need a sleeve.

Actually, the "door" part of the hinge holds onto the mirror hinge pin and rotates with the pin. The center part of the hinge which is attached to the door pillar is the worn part.
