Just wondering if anyone has seen a Bus with this combination? I've seen 2 out of the 3 in different combo but I don't think I've seen a Bus with all 3 options.
Of course, I mean a real, factory-optioned Bus, not one that someone made.
Maybe that was too much metal/structural support to remove and would make the Bus unsafe?
Curious,

| Hi Everett- I personally have not seen that exact combo either. I have, however, seen a '64 Standard Sunroof Walkthru with factory safaris that was abandoned in Escondido, California years back. I think that I heard that Matt Devine recently bought a '64-'67 Standard Sunroof with a sliding cargo door from Rich Stewart of Salinas. All are crazy Buses. |

I believe there was a 1964-66 DD/sunroof micro or kombi in the classifieds a few days ago-it was in Sweden...
tried looking for it, but couldn't find it...maybe sold! Don't remember shots of the front seat... |

I am not sure, but I may have a pic of one on my puter. Am at moms so I cannot look at the moment. Only thing is, I am not sure if it is factory or not. Is green and white I do recall though. Will get it tonight., the pic I mean.

| Dave- I was confused. I heard that Matt kept trying to buy it and then Kimball ended up with it. I usually have a very sharp memory about stuff, particularly when it comes to Buses. |

| think of that orange 66 21-window double slider walk-through bus that is in the UK. not only factory, but relatively low miles also. |

| Lind is right, I forgot about that Bus. I know of a guy here in San Diego that has a '58 23 that is a factory double door and factory walkthru too. I saw it for sale in the Auto Trader YEARS ago for like $800. I almost skimmed past it then did a massive double take when I saw a set of cargo doors on the driver's side. I initially thought that the pic guy at the Trader must have "flip-flopped" the pic. Next thing I thought was that it might actually be a Right Hand Drive. I picked up the phone and tried to get some information from the woman who was fielding the calls. I asked her if the steering wheel was on the "wrong" side. Nope, normal she said. I asked her if it had the "rear side doors" on both sides. Yes, it does. Wow, and the front seats are split so you can walk to the back. Unbelievable. Needless to say, it vanished and I sold some parts to a local guy who has owned it since shortly after that sale went down. He thought I wouldn't believe him when he told me what he owned but I had seen it before. It sat at an Airport in the East County, apparently abandoned, for years. No idea when we'll see it again. |

Well, finally got home and the pic I swore had all that is only a double door sunroof 23 window. No walk through as I had thought it was. I will look a little more, might get lucky.

BUCOBTSTI;
get the sharpener out...
Matt got it from Richard...
it was delivered and sat on Matt's drive way for a while...thinking what todo about it...?
Kimball didn't have a bus...ended getting it.
He even wrote something about it on his
column on "luke warm Vw's".
Is getting some paint done...might be at Feb Octo? Come up and visit.
So the big question..if available sunrrof, DD & WT-yes! The perfect example is that 21 DD slider. BUt Everett asked for a non skylight... |

I believe this is what you are looking for? Likely not an original one though.
