| I'm just curious how many other people have tried to buy a early Bus from some dirtbag who lives in the thing... |

it had a white cab and and white/brown camper body at the time.
lived in my 67 and my 65. lived in the 65 for almost a year until I bought a bread truck to live in. Nothing like being able to stand up in your house. Guess I'm a dirt bag. |

I've lived in a bus. Guess I'm a dirtbag too.
I've also been told about how to work on my vehicle by trailer queens that have to pay to have somebody else restore there vehicles.
Happy holidays |

| When I lived in Maui in 1988 there was a place called Mango Manor. It was a mango grove with half a dozen or so vans sunk in the mud. $75 a month got you a place to live. I didn't have to watch my money that close but there was a list of people waiting to move in. I think most thought it was the "cool" place to live and suited the surfer image. I quess it did along with the other "cool" place to live, the coops. A group of slightly modified chicken coops. There were 4 seperate "appts" with chicken wire still as a dividing walls. Again another waiting list and all this for the small sum of $250/month. |

| Wait a minute, I'm not saying that anyone who lives in a Bus is a dirtbag. There are other qualifications to get you to that status in my book. There are two local guys who have Buses I've been wanting to buy and cut up for parts for years. There is a '62 Westy with factory safaris and some other good pieces that a Vietnam Vet/Heroine junkee lives in. He won't give it up even when I offer him way more than it's probably truely worth. There is another guy, a whacko drunk, who owns a '55 Motorhome Bus that has a mint brakelight decklid, original reflectors, rear crankstart apron, barndoor 3 piece doglegs, crows foot wheels, nice floor mat, 70mph speedo, clean front seat, and a nice barndoor long rib front bumper on it. I'm just curious if anyone else has dealt with someone who has to weigh the cash they're being offered with the value of their only roof over their head. |
