Hey all,
I decided to order a swing kit and drop the rear of my bus. I disconnected all the engine stuff, and was getting ready to find the motor mount bolts. Couldnt find them. So i looked at the bug tranny I am putting in to find out where in relation they would be. HELL i can't reach them...is there a trick? and what about the one above the starter? Would it be easier to just drop the tranny with the motor still mounted? HELP!!! any and I mean ANY advice would be great....happy holidays.

| bottoms are essy, top nuts are accessed by reaching behind the fan shroud with a 17mm wrench. the nuts may come right off, or the bolt may turn in the process, in which case you have to either have someone hold the bolt from underneath or figure out how to attach a small visegrip to them to keep them from turning. do the top ones first then the bottoms. you'll find out why if you remove the bottoms first. |
