| What's the best way to staighten bumpers if unable to hammer all the dents out? Are some of these super straightlooking bumpers filled with bondo or can you get them that straight by hammering? Thanks |

If you are careful sometimes you can find a chrome shop that straightens bumpers that will straighten yours and not chrome it. You have to be careful because I have heard some horror stories. I have been workin on a couple of my own with hammers but it is a lot of work. I believe most of the chrome shops use a press and dies to push the bumper back. It will never be perfect again though.
I would think the bondo would pop out rather quickly. Those bumpers flex enough that the bondo wouldn't hold on for long. If you only have a few dents they could also be welded and ground.

Chrome shops do have presses and reputable shops do good work for the most part. If you are tempted to use filler, do not use plastic filler like bondo but rather a metal type filler (lead replacement) like USC's All-metal filler. spendy and a bitch to work with (don't get carried away with overfilling, put it in very thin coats and you can start by sanding overfills with 36 grit to speed things up). Will last years and years over plastic fillers that crack and are not water proof.
