I think I did everything right,
So I just did a ton of maintenance to our new, 1975 bus with a 1979 2000, single Weber carb. New Plugs, wires, fuel lines, fuel filter, fresh gas, adjusted valves. Electronic ignition, up dated coil, adjusted electric choke, new ignition switch,
It runs good and idles good. if i messed up on anything what should i look for or listen for?
Thanks |

ticka ...ticka..ticka...?
You say it's a '79.... do you have mechanical or hydraulic lifters? If hydraulic, they s/be adjusted to zero lash (search here for more specific directions) so their should be minimal valve noise. |

Raby Engine chrome moly pushrods .... "0" clearance
Solid Lifter Engines with no sodium valves ... .006" clearance
Hydraulic Lifter Engines .... 1 1/2 to 2 turns IN (preload) from "0" |

Pull out one plug wire at a time from the distributor cap and see if the tick stops with one of the wires, could be a tiny exhaust leak. |

Good tip.. I am going to try this. I have a 'tick tick' sound I can't diagnose. |
